AUTO OPENING AND VEHICLE ENTRY LOCKOUT TOOLS

Auto Opening Tools, commonly referred to as Vehicle Entry Tools, are used to gain vehicle entry into locked vehicles or inaccessible cars. Many of us have used these types of auto opening tools, or seen them in use, when we lock our keys in the car.

Many of Pro-Lok’s tools utilize patented auto opening technology. We knurl part of the tool that makes contact with the locking linkage. This eliminates the possibility of the tool from slipping along the smooth surface of the locking linkage, resulting in a more efficient vehicle entry. Two round, smooth surfaces, placed together do not work well together and this works against your efforts to maneuver the linkage to the unlocked position and gaining vehicle entry.

Pro-Lok also changed the size of 25 of its auto opening tools. We begin with the highest grade music wire and shape it to the desired specifications. We then heat treat the tool (some tools twice) for additional strength and breakage protection. The additional strength allows us to use thinner diameter wire, resulting in stronger but thinner auto opening tools. This also allows for easy access to locking linkage, which may result in less time attempting to gain vehicle entry into locked vehicles.
